Imagination and attention to detail were the guiding forces in the design of the lavish, newly built Villa Legends B, and its muses are the top fashion houses of the world. Each of the five bedrooms was inspired by the creative vision of an iconic haute couture designer.

Villa Legends B also benefits from a superb location in Lurin, within minutes of lively Shell Beach and the shopping and restaurants of Gustavia. But within the confines of the three-level vacation home, the feeling is glamorous but also gracious. There is an abundant use of glass, and spectacular sunsets and views over Shell Beach and the bay beyond.

The large, heated pool is on this level, as are three of the five bedrooms, all positioned in front of the pool. The Yves Saint Laurent bedroom is nearest to the living room, followed by the Hermès bedroom and the Chanel bedroom. Each has exquisite details that pay homage to the fashion houses’ aesthetic, as well as a lavish ensuite bathroom and access to the shared terrace and sundeck. There’s a small fitness room on this level as well, though among the many services the Sibarth concierge can arrange are trainers to lead private workouts throughout the villa and around the island.

The master bedrooms are above and below. Just below the covered parking area and stairs, the Louis Vuitton bedroom has wood floors from an original railroad car on the Orient Express. And on the level below the social hub of the house is the Bulgari room, which has its own private deck and Jacuzzi.

Red roofed “gingerbread” buildings complement the lush tropical landscape in Gustavia, the tiny Caribbean capital of St Barts whose sites and landmarks can easily be visited in just a day’s worth of trekking on foot. 17th century forts line the harbour, from Fort Karl in the north to Fort Gustaf with its lighthouse and cannons in the south. There’s also the popular Shell Beach, where beachcombers search for sparkling shells to pocket. Gustavia has a few bars and restaurants, serving various types of food (American, Italian, French,…), and high-end boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Dolce Gabbana, Prada, Cartier and Hermès.
